🌱 Bell Buckle Community Garden
Planted by neighbors, shared by everyone
Tucked right out front of the Bell Buckle Dump, our community garden turns an unlikely corner of town into the most generous patch of dirt in Bedford County. Neighbors plant it, neighbors tend it, and neighbors eat from it — that's the whole idea. Whether you've got a green thumb or just a hungry family, you're welcome here.
🧑🌾 Garden Status Board
Volunteers — keep the town posted! Share what's ripe, what's on the way, and what could use a hand.

🧺 Picking with Care
- Take what your family will eat — leave plenty for the next neighbor
- Harvest gently: hold the vine with one hand, pick with the other
- Not sure it's ripe? Check the status board above
- Pull a weed while you're there — the garden says thank you
🙋 Lend a Hand

🐝 Bee City Bell Buckle
A pollinator paradise, one yard at a time
🌸 What to Plant in Bell Buckle
Tennessee natives are the best meal in town for our pollinators. Pick a season — plant a few from each and you'll have blooms (and bees) from thaw to frost.
🏡 Make Your Yard a Pollinator B&B
- Plant in clumps of three or more — easier for bees to find than singles
- Aim for something blooming spring through fall
- Skip the pesticides, especially while plants are flowering
- Leave a sunny patch of bare dirt — most native bees nest in the ground
- Leave the leaves and dead stems over winter — that's where pollinators sleep
- Set out a shallow dish of water with pebbles for landing spots
- Mow a little less and let the clover bloom — the bees will thank you
📣 The Buzz Board
